Vinner av Heddaprisen for “Årets teaterforestilling”
Winner of “Theatre performance of the year” at Heddaprisen.
Døden på Oslo S var forestilling ved Nationaltheatret i Oslo. Forestillingen ble laget som en site-speific postpunk-musikal i det nedlagte Økernsenteret, og var basert på Ingvar Ambjørnsens roman ved samme navn. Denne fortellingen om ungdom, rus, prostitusjon og vennskap, ble en norsk kultklassiker gjennom filmatiseringen i 1990.
Forestillingen tok form som en happening, med bar, vintagesjappe, og skuespillerne beveget seg rundt i hele rommet. I tillegg til forestillingen arrangerte vi også en rekke konserter, debatter, foredrag og ungdomsarrangementer i lokalene. Alt kretset rundt temaene utenforskap, fellesskap og hvordan man tar vare på de svakeste i en by.

“Døden på Oslo S” was a performance with The National Theatre in Oslo. It was made as a site-spesific postpunk-musical in abandoned shopping mall in the outskirts of Oslo. The performance was based on a norwegian novel and cultfilm from 1990, a story about youth, drugs, prostitution and friendship. The was totally sold out, with aprox. 30 000 tickets, and won the award for best theatre performance of the year at Heddaprisen.
The performance took shape as a happening, with a bar, a vintage shop, and the actors moving around the entire space between the audience. In addition, we programmed concerts, debates, talks and youth events in the venue, digging into the themes of communty, exclusion, and how to take care of the weaker groups in a city.
