Sagaen om Isfolket er en oppsetning av Margit Sandemos kultklassiker på Nationaltheatrets hovedscene. En fantasy-forestilling basert på 47 bøker, der vi følger slekten Isfolket gjennom 400 år og utallige generasjoner som alle er forbannet.
Den episke bokserien Sagaen om Isfolket skrevet på 80-tallet, er både forhatt og elsket. I forestillingen har vi prøvd å skape et univers som hyller bøkene, samtidig som den snakker til et yngre publikum. Voldsom estetikk, et rasende tempo, og høy musikk inspirert av alt fra Wagner til svartmetall i en forestilling som fikk alt fra terningkast 5 til 1(!) i avisene.
“The Saga of the Ice People” is a stage adaptation of Margit Sandemo’s cult classic, performed on the main stage at the National Theatre in Norway. A fantasy production based on 47 books, it follows the Ice People’s family line over 400 years and countless generations, all bound by a curse.
The epic book series “The Saga of the Ice People”, written in the 1980s, is both loved and hated. In this production, we have tried to create a universe that pays tribute to the books while also speaking to a younger audience. With overloaded aesthetics, a fast pace, and loud music inspired by everything from Wagner to black metal, the performance received reviews ranging from a 5 stars to 1 star(!) in the newspapers.
